This is confirmed by the data gathered in Saxum’s 2025 Annual Report: 3,025 visits, 301 groups and 41 countries represented, with an average of 252 visitors a month.
A journey with an international accent
Christian Arab families from Sakhnin, seminarians from the Neocatechumenal Way, a Croatian pilgrim who walked all the way to Jerusalem, Mormon students from BYU, Jewish communities, local tour guides… Every month, Saxum brings together people of very different faiths and cultures, all driven by the same desire: to gain a deeper understanding of the Holy Places and the life of Jesus Christ.

A meeting place between cultures
Beyond the figures, what this map really reveals is Saxum’s mission: to be a meeting point where different traditions coexist without losing sight of what unites them. In 2025, that vocation also came to life through activities such as the Cultural Cafés and the interfaith Emmaus Trail, which brought together tour guides and families from different backgrounds around the history and archaeology of the Holy Land.

In 2025 we hosted events such as the Jewish-Christian Purim gathering, featuring a reading of the Book of Esther in several languages, and the Cultural Coffe Break “The Light We Share,” which brought Jewish and Christian celebrations into dialogue with Rabbi Oded Peles.
