Merry Christmas!

Dec 16, 2025

Dear friends,

Throughout this year 2025, filled with challenges and lessons, and despite the war, we have been able to keep our doors open, welcoming an average of 252 visitors per month from diverse cultures and religions, and hailing from more than 20 countries.

We were fortunate to organize numerous activities, including:

  • “Emmaus Trails” for the community of tour guides, families, and friends.
  •  “Cultural Cafés” featuring enriching themes, such as –
    • “Christian Signs during Holy Week,” in which Fr. José Enrique De Castro Manglano guided us through the meaning of each day in the Liturgy.
    • “First-person testimonies”, such as the story of a Jewish Benedictine sister who lived in the Mount of Olives; and,
    • “The Light We Share,” a cultural exhibition about the parallels between Jewish and Christian celebrations, with the participation of Rabbi Oded Peles, which made these talks a true dialogue and encounter among friends.

We have also collaborated with the Faculty of Theology at the University of Navarra, providing our materials for an online course titled “Lands: Bible and Holy Land,” available in English and Spanish, with the aim of deepening understanding of the holy places linked to the life of Jesus.

Finally, for December we have uploaded traditional Christmas videos to our YouTube channel, so that you may listen to carols while contemplating Nazareth, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem.

We invite you to follow us via social media and to subscribe to our monthly Newsletter, where we share articles and news about the Holy Land.

At Saxum, we continue working to offer pilgrims a unique experience via the Visitor Center—an interactive journey that helps them understand in depth the Holy Places and their meaning; and which seeks to sow hope, dialogue, and peace in the very land where our faith was born.

Today we wish to thank you for these many years in which you have walked together with us. Your support is a concrete way of keeping this project alive and making it possible for thousands of people to continue discovering the Holy Land through a global, profound, and transformative gaze. This Christmas, we would like to encourage you to share this initiative with others who, through their generous help, could join this project.

Thank you for being part of Saxum and for your committed generosity.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

With gratitude and affection,

Blanca Ramirez, Saxum Visitor Center Manager
